I am a clinical psychologist specialising in narrative therapy with adults. I faciliate various narrative therapy supervision groups in the NHS and independent practice, including in physical health settings and for people interested in inviting "the body" into their narrative therapy practice. I invite the experiential into supervision sessions with the intention of positioning our body communities before inviting in those we are in conversations with. Rather than imparting any expert advice, I view conversations as a weaving of co-created experiences and knowledges (drawn from a multitude of sources) with particular intentions of opening up different landscapes and design ideas to bring to practice. A large part of my practice is supporting people to tell their stories in preferred ways. Often the dominant social, cultural and political discourses of our times and culture can define peoples' stories for them and we may need to create-and design- different contexts and landscapes- for people's stories to thrive. This may involve consulting other landscapes of meaning making in order to come back to our own with different ideas and possibilities. I have an interest in what ideas and solutions we can learn from the natural world- and other communities we are part of- and invite these connections into the space. This paper I co-create with a former client gives an idea of the way I practice: https://murmurations.cloud/index.php/pub/article/view/286/159
