Location:

North Glasgow / Online

I completed my DClinPsych with Newcastle University in 2008. I have worked in numerous NHS adult mental health services with clients presenting with a broad spectrum of mental health difficulties of varying complexity from mild/moderate to severe and enduring. This has included key foundational years in Community Mental Health, specialist experience in Adult Eating Disorders, a lead role in Adult Psychological Therapies and latterly a senior role as Consultant Clinical Psychologist. I have specialist experience with eating disorders and extensive experience of childhood and relational traumas including bullying, neglect, and emotional, physical and sexual abuse. I have research and clinical experience in neurodiversity, including NHS and independent experience of assessing adults for autism. Therapeutic models I use include CBT, psychodynamic and systemic theory, Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Trauma Focused CBT, Narrative Exposure Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR). I tend to take an integrative approach, utilising models and techniques as appropriate to client presentation/formulation. I have extensive supervisor experience having supervised regularly since 2009. I have supervised numerous trainee clinical psychologists, CAAPs, Nurse therapists, Counselling Psychologists, and Clinical Psychologists. I can offer in person supervision at the Wellbeing Rooms in Stepps and Bearsden or online.
