Maddie Nixon

Psychotherapist

Location:

East Sussex/Online

I am a fully registered Accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP), and an EMDR Europe Accredited Consultant and Clinical Supervisor. I provide psychological support, supervision and training to organisations such as the NHS, the emergency services, and the humanitarian aid sector. I have, therefore, gained a vast experience in working with many different client issues and I am trained in many areas of therapy, in particular, working with PTSD, trauma, abuse, bereavement, depression and anxiety. My supervision style is collaborative, supportive and grounded in relational EMDR practice. I offer a reflective space where you can explore your work openly, strengthen your clinical understanding and stay connected to yourself as a therapist. My supervision integrates fidelity to the EMDR 8-phase model with relational depth, reflective awareness and compassion — helping you stay steady and effective in complex clinical work. Supervision is an essential part of developing as an EMDR therapist — not just for meeting accreditation requirements, but for staying reflective, resourced and confident in your clinical work. I offer EMDR supervision for therapists who are newly qualified in EMDR, or are working towards completing their accreditation, or who wish to deepen their practice and confidence in working with trauma, attachment and dissociation.
