Dr Bethany Brown

Clinical Psychologist

Location:

Edinburgh / Online

Clinical supervision is a space I value deeply in my own practice. Offering a safe, non-judgemental space for others is something I find incredibly meaningful and fulfilling, and I place high importance on this. My approach is client-centred, adapting supervision to meet your needs, style, and developmental stage. Since qualifying in 2015 my NHS work has focused on clinical health psychology across a range of specialist services. In my private practice, I work with clients experiencing physical health conditions as well as a broad range of adult mental health difficulties. My therapeutic approach draws on CBT, ACT, EMDR, mindfulness, and compassion-focused elements. I have recently completed training in integrating EMDR with Internal Family Systems (IFS), and I’m currently developing my own working knowledge of IFS in clinical practice. I’m a Clinical Psychologist working as a lead psychologist in NHS specialist physical health services, alongside running my own private practice. I understand the juggle—having navigated the early days of setting up my own practice, I vividly remember the challenges and the importance of good supervision during that time. Now, I aim to offer the same level of support and understanding to others.
