I qualified as a clinical psychologist from Manchester in 2007. Over the last 20 years, supervision has been central to my development as a clinician as well as to the sustainabilty and ongoing enjoyment of my work. Because I know just how important it has been to me, it is an immense privilege to be able to offer supervision to others. My emphasis is on fostering a safe environment in which curiosity, refllection, learning and critical thinking can coexist with support and fun. My style is warm, down-to-earth and compassionate, and I'm a strong advocate for humour as part of the learning process. I have undertaken post qualification training in CBT, CFT, schema therapy, MBT and ACT, and these are the models I draw on in my clinical work and in supervision. My own practice now specialises in perinatal and parental mental health, but I spent 15 years in the NHS working in CMHTs, complex needs services and and tertiary trauma services, so I am able to offer supervision to people working across the full spectrum of adult mental health, as well people seeking more specialist supervsion of perinatal mental health caseloads. I can also offer specialist CBT supervision for people applying for or maintaining BABCP accreditation. I have extensive experience of supervising practitioners at all stages of training/post-qualification, and would be delighted to hear from you if you'd like to explore working together.
