Hello! I am an experienced clinical psychologist with 20 years of experience since qualification in providing supervision in a range of settings. Building a trusting, supportive and warm relationship is something I feel I offer strongly, and I'm always keen to build a personable relationship with people that I supervise, in order that people feel held and supported whilst also getting the professional support that they need. I have worked in paediatric psychology, a CAMHS team, and as clinical lead for an eating disorder pathway. This has given me lots of experience of providing supervision to trainees, other psychologists and multi-professional colleagues. Since starting my own private practice, I have also provided supervision to other psychologists on their own journey and development in private practice. As a supervisor, I would describe my style as integrative. The main models I tend to draw on are CBT, systemic and narrative ideas, and ACT. I have also undertaken my EMDR adult and child training and am working towards accreditation for this. I like to offer a reflective and supportive space, and to be able to provide supervision that feels appropriate to each individual’s development and career stage. This means that I am flexible in being able to shift between more directive supervision when people are wanting practical ideas, or to take a step back and allow someone more of a reflective space to generate their own thoughts and ideas about dilemmas in their work.
