My supervision ethos Supervision offers a safe and reflective space for mental health professionals to process the emotional impact of their work and gain fresh perspectives on the cases they’re supporting. Supervision provides the opportunity to step back, gain clarity on stuck points, and explore new ways forward. It’s also essential for addressing risk, helping to support well-informed decisions when clients may be at risk of harm to themselves or others. On a more practical level, supervision offers a supportive environment to explore the many challenges of running a business —from maintaining a healthy work-life balance and managing the impact of personal life on professional work, to navigating the complexities of business. Without the organisational structure of larger systems, it can be difficult to know where to draw boundaries or how to create a sustainable practice. Supervision can help fill that gap. I’ve been supervising mental health professionals for over five years, offering guidance and support tailored to your individual needs. I have also completed the BPS supervision skills training programme. The approaches I integrate into my supervision include: - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) - Internal Family Systems (IFS) - Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - Relational & Attachment-based approaches - All through a systemic lens
