Lovely to meet you - I’m Alison, a Health Psychologist and experienced supervisor. As a trainee and since qualifiying in 2021, I've worked within NHS psychological therapy services across a range of settings - substance use, weight managment, gasterenterology, cardiac rehabilition, diabetes, staff wellbeing. Currently, I am a Senior Health Psychologist within a NHS forensic mental health hospital (with a focus on physical health) where I supervise a range of professionals, including trainee psychologists. I also work in priviate practice within clinical health psychology. Clinically, I work biopsycosocially and integretivly. I'm trained in CBT and ACT, and currently undertaking a diploma in CFT. As a supervisor, I offer a warm, welcoming and compassionate space. I'm open to supervising psychologists, therapists and counsellors working with clients who experience chronic illness or persistant physical symptoms alongside mild - severe/enduring mental health difficulties, and/or difficulties with self-compassion, intellectual disabilities, high drive and minds that tend to be self-critical. I can also offer supervision of research and consultancy work (such as the development of training, resources or projects) within the field of health psychology, clinical health psychology, forensic mental health and public health.
