I am a Clinical Psychologist and EMDR Consultant/Clinical Supervisor (for Adult EMDR work only). I specialise in working with athletes, and - along with my team of associates - offer supervision to a range of psychological practitioners. I am currently supervising Clinical, Sport and Exercise, and Counselling Psychologists as well as psychotherapists and safeguarding staff within sports organisations. I have experience working with athletes from age 10 upwards, from grassroots sports to professional, across a range of both individual and team sports, and I have supervision contracts with various PL and WSL football clubs. Prior to working with athletes, I had varied NHS experience within both physical health and secondary mental health care services. I find this really helpful in supervision, and have current contracts with NHS services in these areas. I also have experience in independent practice with children, adolescents and adults with varying levels of complexity and presenting issues. My priority in supervision is to create a warm and supportive atmosphere, within which you feel comfortable discussing all aspects of your work and wellbeing. We would then set supervision goals together, and might look at any of the following: formulation and intervention strategies for specific pieces of work, systemic concerns within the organisations you work in, work life balance and your professional development.
