Matthew Heatley-Swaine

Psychotherapist

Location:

East Kent

I have been practicing as a CBT supervisor since 2016, both for individuals and in group settings. I have worked closely with Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) in Kent, supporting trainees, both as a CBT team lead and clinical supervisor. I have also supported many qualified clinicians during this time. As of 2024 I left the NHS for private practice but continued offering supervision with CCCU and Exeter University, plus a few qualified clinicians. I draw on ACT and CBT to compliment my supervision approach and am very adaptable to what a supervisee requires in their development. I have received feedback that I am a warm, approachable and supportive, being able to blend guided self discovey and teaching where necessary. I am very much drawn to the process of what is keeping the client and therapist stuck and will supportively guide you through the dilemma.
