I work in private practice 2 days a week, and as Principal Clinical Psychologist in a Neurodevelopmental CAMHS team the other 3 days. Since qualifying in 2015 I have worked with autistic cyp, cyp with intellectual disability, and their systems around mental health difficulties and behaviours of concern. I am also able to support around sleep difficulties. I work from a neuroaffirmative lens, and integratively from ACT, CBT and Systemic models. I am a Systemic Practitioner. I view supervision as a collaborative space to reflect on the successes and difficulties of our work in supporting mental wellbeing. We will negotiate around what you find helpful from supervision and agree a format that will support you in your ongoing work. I would view my areas of expertise as: -Working with autistic children and young people. -Working with children and young people with Intellectual Disability. -Adapting therapy for children with different needs. -Supporting parents/carers and families, including considering loss and adjustment. -Liaising with the network- e.g. schools, social care, and other therapies. -Working in and with Special Educational Needs schools. -Cognitive assessment I like to give time and space for consideration of wellbeing, work/life balance and self- development. I think it is really important to consider diversity and the characteristics of the therapist and the client in supervision.
