I’m a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience, having completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Edinburgh in 2010. I began my career in the NHS, gaining broad experience in adult mental health, including complex and high-intensity presentations. Although valuable work and wonderful colleauges, I found I did not suit the NHS environment. Following a break, I realised that private practice gave me more freedom to shape my work—supporting a specific client group while also creating a way of working that met my own professional and personal needs. Working independently, I built an online private practice in 2019 and have continued to advance all kinds of skills. I’m an EMDR UK Accredited Practitioner and experienced in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with specialist interests in trauma and water-related trauma. I also hold a varied caseload, including common adult mental health concerns like anxiety and depression. I believe in psychological formulation and the value of non-technical skills such as attunement, while also holding to therapeutic models. I enjoy working with qualified psychologists who are developing their identity in private practice and seeking a supervision space that supports both clinical growth and personal sustainability. I’m also interested in how we can design services and ways of working that are sustainable and aligned with how we function as humans—recognising our limits as well as our strengths
