I’m Dr Laura Wade, a Principal Clinical Psychologist. I qualified in 2017 and currently work as the lead psychologist for the Adult ADHD Service within the AWP Mental Health NHS Partnership Trust. Before this, I led the Oxfordshire ADHD Service. My work is driven by a commitment to improving understanding, care, and service development for people with ADHD and related neurodevelopmental conditions. I’m particularly interested in neurodevelopmental service design, the lived experience of individuals with ADHD, psychometric assessment, and the overlap with tic disorders. I supervise using a CBT-, CFT-, and CAT-informed framework, supporting both trainee and qualified psychologists and psychotherapists who specialise in adult ADHD. I’ve also supervised MSc research projects for the University of Bristol’s Neuropsychology Master’s programme, and I teach on MSc and DClinPsych programmes at the Universities of Exeter and Bath. Clinically, I’m experienced in cognitive-behavioural therapy, compassion-focused therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy, with additional interests in trauma and neuropsychology. Outside of work—and around life with my young daughter—I enjoy street dancing, baking, and exploring all things sci-fi.
