I am Consultant Counselling Psychologist and have worked in various NHS settings - CMHT, Speciliast PD services, CAMHS ED servies and private practice since 2012. I am an Accredited Schema therapist, MBT practitioner and DBT trained and offer supervision in these models. I am also an Organisational Consultant, trained at The Tavistock and Portman clinic and an EMCC Accredited Coach, so can being a systemic psychodynamic lense to the supervision I offer as is needed. I can help you think about a wide range of clients - children from 10years +, adults, couples, parents, groups, teams and organisations. My supervision tends to focus on internal and sytemic relational patterns as these are the threads that weave through our client work. By bringing these patterns into conscious awareness, supervision becomes an agent for transformation. In practice then, this involves: noticing repetitions and enactments of familar roles, exploring parallel process and attending to and being mindful of the dynamics of power, authority, expertise, cultural identity, and difference, both in your supervision and clinical work. I think supervision is most fruitful when it opens space for you to process your own feelings, thoughts, and bodily responses that arise in the context of client work. Therefore, my supervisory space becomes a site for co-constructing meaning, making sense of the interpersonal dance between your client and you, and refining your use of self in the service of client growth.
