Dr Charlie (Charlotte) Strong

Clinical Psychologist

Location:

Glasgow/Online

I’m a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with specialist experience in complex trauma, child and adolescent mental health, & reflective practice within high-complexity services. My work centres on helping clinicians feel resourced, grounded, & confident as they navigate demanding & meaningful roles. I offer supervision and consultation that is relational, collaborative, & rooted in trauma-informed principles. This is a space where you can think deeply, reflect openly, and feel supported in your practice. With nearly a decade working in specialist NHS trauma services, & over 13 years as a qualified Clinical Psychologist, I’ve come to deeply value the quieter spaces where clinicians can pause, reflect- steady themselves! - & reconnect with why they do this work. Alongside direct clinical work, I’ve contributed to service development & national training initiatives, & led the rollout of Scotland’s trauma training strategy in NHS GGC CAMHS. These experiences shape how I hold the bigger picture and the emotional weight practitioners carry. The work matters — but so do the people carrying it. I particularly enjoy supporting clinicians who are balancing NHS roles alongside developing private practice, & who want supervision that feels containing, thoughtful, & sustainable — a space to think, breathe, & develop. I offer flexible supervision arrangements to fit with clinicians balancing NHS & private practice. If you’d like to explore whether we’d be a good fit, please get in touch.
