Forensic Psychologist

Location:

York

I am an HCPC-registered Forensic Psychologist with over 20 years experience working in secure and community settings. I have a specialist interest in working with complex and sensitive issues, including sexual risk, trauma and shame. My practice is grounded in compassion-focused approaches and guided by a belief in the worth and complexity of every person. I strive to create a space that is curious, non-judgemental, and led by human understanding rather than labels. I offer clinical supervision either as a one-off or on a more regular basis. I can provide support for psychologists or therapists looking to develop their confidence or expertise in working with clients who may struggle with shame, risk-related concerns, or forensic issues. Perhaps you are a forensic psychologist working independently or in private practice who may benefit from a reflective, values-led space to support and guide their work. I also provide supervision to trainee forensic psychologists and those working towards HCPC registration, with a strong focus on ethical practice, formulation, and developing therapeutic confidence with complex client groups. I aim for supervision with me to feel like a shared, human experience — warm, thoughtful, and grounded in curiosity and compassion. I aim to offer a space where you can bring your full self, feel supported in the work, and reflect deeply on the complexities of practice without fear of judgement.
