Dr Stephanie Kelly

Clinical Psychologist

Location:

Newcastle Upon Tyne

Hi, I'm Stevie (or Stephanie when in trouble), I am a Clinical Psychologist working between the NHS and private practice. I understand how important accessing high quality and supportive supervision is. I believe that supervision is pivitiol in our role satisfaction and therefore am incredibly passionate about co-creating a space for clinicians to feel safe and contained enabling them to explore the impact of the work they do, their experience of this as well as their clients. In doing so, I hope to offer space that enables clinicians to think about their clients, to learn, grow and take care of themselves. As a supervisor I aim to be reflective and attuned but most importantly responsive to feedback. My experience working into complex systems including local authority, custody and NHS services to support both adults and young people who have experienced relational trauma. As such, I have experience of delivering supervision that draws from relational and psychodynamic models considering enactment, transference and supporting to identify and approach fragmentation in systems. I am keen to support individuals to think about the complex needs of clients, guiding them to consider the current needs and to help focus when there are multiple system demands. Working within forensic services and child protection I have experience in supporting others with complex safeguarding issues ensuring psychologically minded, appropriate and safe modes of working.
