I am an experienced HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist (forensic), UKCP Registered CAT Psychotherapist and ACAT Accredited CAT supervisor. For 20 years I worked in NHS forensic services and gained substantial experience of working with adult clients with trauma histories and complex presentations. For 5 years, I have been in full-time private practice working with adults with a range of presenting issues. In my CAT practice, I incorporate ideas from CFT and ACT. Throughout my practice I have experienced a range of clinical supervisors so I appreciate the importance of working with a supervisor who feels like a 'good fit'. I aim to provide a thoughtful and supportive space where professional growth and the emotional impact of clinical work can be reflected on. My approach is curious, collaborative, and reflective. I can support supervisees in developing confidence in using CAT tools such as reformulation and goodbye letters and CAT maps. I have experience of supervising a range of professionals in private practice and across NHS settings, probation and university programmes (clinical psychology doctorate). I provide supervision to experienced and trainee CAT practitioners/ psychotherapists as well as professionals who aren't qualified in CAT but who are interested in working in a relational way with their clients and incoroporating CAT into their thinking or practice. I am happy to work online or in person, geography permitting of course.
