Hello, I am Chancy, I am dual trained, psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Tavistock and Clinical Psychology at Hertfordshire. Supervision with me, is a contained frame to think about the unconscious communication in your clinical work and help you understand your feelings, in relation to clinical work that can often be emotive as well as rich and interesting. The format can look a few ways and together we can work out what suits you and your clinical work more. Typically, what happens in supervision with me is a mixture. 1, Bring a transcript (whatever can be recalled from a session) We go through the transcript and can really get into what is going on between you and the patient and of course what is happening in you and them. Incredibly helpful for both you to have that level of support and for me to see what can be thought about and made sense of with you. 2, Come with a patient in mind and we think generically about them, the work, where you are and what might be going on. 3, Case consultation, where we think with a psychoanalytic frame re context, factors and patterns being played out. Generic treatment plans etc The frame is psychoanalytic, and as when it is relevant I can suggest different papers or books for theory practice links if that is something of interest, as well as holding the complexities in mind of switching from NHS to private and the nuances that both entails.
