I am a GMC-registered doctor and Associate Specialist in Old Age Psychiatry, as well as a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Psychotherapist specialising in CBT for older adults and have completed ACT, DBT and EMDR training. I established the CBT service within Mental Health Services for Older People and have over 30 years’ experience in the NHS, alongside running a small private practice. I am co-author of *CBT for Mild to Moderate Depression and Anxiety: A Low Intensity Guide*, for which I wrote the chapter on supervision. My teaching, supervision, and examining experience spans nine years on a BABCP Level 2 accredited course at Queen’s University Belfast. I have provided both in-person and virtual small group and individual supervision for multidisciplinary practitioners—ranging from those in training to highly experienced therapists. I have also delivered online group supervision for CBT trainees at University College London. I have significant expertise in providing CBT supervision, tailoring my approach to the individual needs of the supervisee while ensuring a balance between learning, support, and the maintenance of professional standards. I am known for offering “supportive challenge” and strong pastoral care, helping trainees and practitioners alike to develop their skills.
