Dr Laura McKenzie-Smith

Clinical Psychologist

Location:

Online

I am an HCPC registered practitioner psychologist (clinical psychologist) with specialist experience in working with Complex PTSD using CFT, trauma-focused CBT, EMDR and NET. I also have significant experience in working with a range of mental health difficulties as a result of complex trauma, including BPAD, eating difficulties and EUPD, and in supporting people with co-occurring neurodivergent presentations. I have experience of supervising clinical psychologists working with similar conditions who use similar approaches, as well as experience of facilitating reflective practice and providing research supervision. My approach to supervision is grounded in compassion and reflection. I aim to offer a safe and thoughtful space where you can explore your clinical work, navigate complex cases, and support your ongoing professional development within a values-led and emotionally supportive framework. Your needs are the most important; whether you would like a reflective space, guidance with specific approaches, even role playing different techniques or scenarios. I can offer regular (any frequency, depending on your needs and preferences), online supervision on a Monday or Tuesday afternoon.
