Dr Tanya Augustine

Counselling Psychologist

Location:

Online And In Person In Norwich

I am a Counselling Psychologist, integrating EMDR, mindfulness & compassion based approaches and polyvagal-informed approaches in my work. I have a particular interest and passion for working with autistic and neurodivergent supeervisees, adapting supervision to meet an individuals neurodivergent needs. Just as therapy should be neuro-affirmative and culturally responsive, so too should supervision. With this in mind, supervision is a place you can bring your whole self to, where you can feel safe to explore your clinical work and any other contexts and factors impacting on your work as a therapist. I am a late realised/ late diagnosed autistic, and also a mother to twin autistic/PDA daughters. I take a neuro-affirmative approach to all of my work and I am learning to bring issues of social justice, intersectionality and the wider context into therapeutic work, so that psychology can be a place where oppression and injustice is heard and challenged and not silenced.
