I worked for the NHS for 19 years and for Salomons, CCCU for seven years. I recently stepped into private practice, and am passionate about helping others to make committed, values based decisions around the lives they want to lead. Working with older people has been a key focus of my work for many years in the NHS, and I lead this strand of teaching within Salomons, as well as supervising a range of research projects. Within my clinical work I supervised trainees and qualified staff. In the last few years I worked with frontline NHS staff post-pandemic, designing and delivering workshops to support with burnout and stress. I also set up a mindfulness community: https://oxfordmindfulness.org/building-a-mindfulness-community-an-antidote-to-burnout-in-the-nhs with a belief that community and a sense of common humanity are key to supporting mental health, particularly within systems where structural and systemic issues can lead to individuals feeling isolated. I offer reflective and clinical supervision to Clinical Psychologists. My aim is to provide a space which feels resourcing, collaborative, containing and growth-promoting. I draw on mindfulness- I am a BAMBA registered MBCT and MBCT-L teacher- CFT, ACT and narrative approaches in my work.
